Expect sunny to mostly sunny skies across a large part of West Texas. Clouds will still remain across the western row of counties, in the highest elevations. A few showers and thunderstorms will drift over the mountains today. The rest of West Texas will remain dry. Winds will be out of the south at 10-15 mph. Temperatures will top out in the 90’s for most. Locations in the mountains will see highs in the 80’s.
High pressure will build into the region on Saturday. This will bring sunny skies to much of the region. Temperatures will top out in the upper 90’s to around 100. Rain chances will be slim to none. A few clouds will drift overhead on Sunday. However, no rain is expected.
Early next week, temperatures might trend down a couple of degrees. Highs will fall into the mid 90’s for a few locations on Tuesday. Sunny skies and warmer temperatures will quickly follow.
