Thursday Morning Weather Update Greg Morgan – Chief Meteorologist
Decreasing clouds and rain chances are expected today. Temperatures will climb into the lower to mid 90’s for all but the mountains of West Texas. Rain chances will still linger in the higher elevations and a few locations in the Lower Trans Pecos. However, widespread rain is unlikely. Skies will be partly cloudy to mostly sunny.
High pressure will continue to build into the region this weekend. As a result, sunny skies are expected to prevail through Sunday. Temperatures will reach highs in the mid 90’s. Overnight lows will be in the upper 60’s to the lower 70’s.
An upper level disturbance will approach the area early next week. Clouds will increase and temperatures will decrease as a result. Rain chances don’t appear overly impressive. However, a stray shower or thunderstorms can’t be ruled out.
