March is a month devoted to kidney health. We sat down with Odessa Medical Centerís Chief Nursing Officer Levi Stone. Stone said one in ten people are affected by kidney disease. He said uncontrolled diabetes is often a culprit.
Election Day is just days away and this week candidates revealed just how much money they have backing them up. Across the board the amounts raised show a big gap between opponents that begs the question do campaign finances determine the outcome of a race?
We talked with CBS 7 Financial Expert Mickey Cargile with Cargile Investments. Cargile said fundraising is one of the most important aspects of a political campaign for a candidate to get their message out to the public. He explained candidates raise money in three categories: private individuals giving under two hundred dollars, over two hundred dollars and PACís. He said common expenses in a political campaign include paying their staff, direct mail, travel and advertising.
