CBS 7 News
Freese and Nichols consulting firm had their last presentation this morning in Midland for the first part of the Mobility Study, which might be bringing more transportation options to south Midland.
Their study is a comprehensive analysis of the affects of adding another mobility corridor, potentially a roadway similar to Loop 250, cutting through south Midland, east to west.
Commissioners, Midland Odessa Transportation Organization, Midland Development Corporation, and city council have all been briefed on the subject and a representative with Freeze and Nichols says everyone has been generally receptive to the idea, but there is a lot more to be done.
The project could take up to 20 years with the necessary research and infrastructure required to add another major highway.

He says there has been discussion of possibly extending Loop 250 south of I-20.
Through this mobility study there have been six or seven possible routs identified however the current task is simply to study the possibilities and take comments on what the people want.
