Militants in Somalia Attack Presidential Palace 02/21/14

MOGADISHU— Somalia's president is reported to be unharmed but fatalities are reported after militants wearing suicide vests and carrying guns and grenades attacked the presidential palace in the capital, Mogadishu (moh-gah-DEE'-shoo).
The heavily guarded palace is the residence of the country's president, prime minister and speaker of parliament.
A U.N. representative says he received a call from the president saying he was unharmed.
An al-Qaida-linked group called al-Shabab has been waging war in Somalia for years.
