12-year-old Seriously Injured in Weekend Pellet Gun Shooting 2/20/14

TYPE OF INCIDENT: Aggravated Assault
DATE/TIME REPORTED: February 15, 2014 at approximately 1900 hours
LOCATION: 21st & Muskingum
On the listed date and time, officers responded to 21st & Muskingum in reference to an unknown problem. Upon arrival, officers made contact with a 12-year-old male, who advised he had been shot in the face with a pellet gun.
The juvenile sustained serious bodily injury as a result of being shot and was originally transported to Medical Center Hospital. The juvenile was eventually transported to Covenant Hospital in Lubbock to seek further treatment for his injuries.
The suspects are described as two juveniles, a 14-year-old Hispanic male and a 16-year-old Black male. No charges have been filed as the investigation is ongoing.
