Police Report Cites No Wrongdoing 2/19/14
PARIS - French investigators have ruled out any criminal wrongdoing in the debilitating ski accident of Formula One great Michael Schumacher. The prosecutor in Albertville (al-BEHR'-vihl), France, says the probe has been closed. There had been questions regarding culpability in the accident by either the Meribel (MEHR'-ih-bell) ski station in the French Alps or an equipment maker.
The 45-year-old German auto racing legend, who won seven world championships on the F1 circuit, suffered serious head injuries on Dec. 29 when he fell and hit the right side of his head on a rock. Schumacher has been treated at Grenoble University Hospital in southeastern France since then.
