Green Tree returned to a quiet neighborhood this afternoon, but last night, police and a helicopter were searching all throughout here.

Police say it all began at the intersection of Loop 250 and Midland Drive, when Jamie Lee Perdue started going the wrong way on the service road.
When they stopped him, he tried to run over the officers before fleeing north on Midland Drive. That caused officers to shoot at the car.
"He was trying to hurt officers so they did open fire on the vehicle, “said Sara Higgins, the Public Information Officer for Midland.
Perdue tried to hide in a field where Midland Drive dead ends. When police found him, he tried to run them over a second time before dumping his car here a fleeing on foot.
"An officer was on his morning commute and actually saw the actor walking around," Higgins said.
Police found Perdue around eight this morning. For some neighbors it was a scare, others say they felt safe the whole time.
"I heard the police, so I figured they would get him," said Jenny Willis, a Midland resident.
Officials say Perdue faces multiple charges including aggravated assault, evading arrest and unauthorized use of a vehicle. Perdue was sent to the hospital with gunshot wounds this morning and was released this afternoon.
