Ervin Plumbing and Supply tells CBS 7 that they are responding to more reports of frozen pipes and water wells.
Norlene McBride says it's not too late to take some basic steps to protect your pipes and wells.
"Small pieces of pipe are more likely to freeze," McBride says.
You can wrap part of your wells with insulation and use heat tape plugged in to an electrical outlet to protect home water wells. Once a water well freezes over, you likely need to call an expert to have the pipes warmed.
When it comes to indoor plumbing, if you have any sinks on outer walls, be sure to drip faucets and open cabinets to ensure heat gets to those pipes.
