Changes could be on the way for Stanton ISD.
According to Superintendent David Carr, the school board has been discussing the possibility of calling for a bond in February and they are starting to narrow down the options.
The board has talked about putting a bond on the May ballot for a new High School building and new additions to the existing Elementary and Junior High Schools.
Three months ago the school board began discussing options with architects and engineers. Depending on how much the board decides they want to accomplish with the bond money, they could call for 25 to 35 million dollars.
According to Carr, there have been varying opinions from board members.
The board will meet again Feb. 10 to discuss the scope of work they want to accomplish with this bond.
In a subsequent special meeting, the board will decide whether to call for a bond on the May ballot or wait until November.
