Very Cold Today 2/5/14
Wednesday Weather Update
Greg Morgan – Chief Meteorologist
A very cold air mass has settled into West Texas this morning. Some light precipitation appears possible over the next few hours as moisture overruns the cold front. After that, cold air will be the primary concern through the day. Temperatures will stay in the 20’s through the day, then fall into the teens tonight. Wind chill readings could easily drop into the single digits by sunrise Thursday morning.
Another wave of upper level energy will move across the region on Wednesday night. It appears that light snowfall will be possible over the area tonight and linger through early afternoon Thursday.
Temperatures will remain below freezing through Friday morning. After that, we will take a roller coaster ride with temperatures. It looks like we will see highs in the 40’s on Friday… 60’s on Saturday… 40’s on Sunday and 50’s early next week. Another slight chance of precipitation and wind is possible next Tuesday.
