Former Area Coach Indicted For Theft 2/3/14

(Fort Davis)- A Former Alpine, Valentine and Fort Davis teacher and coach Tony Timmons, the current state director of officials for the University Interscholastic League, has been indicted for theft of $20,000 to $100,000 by a Jeff Davis County Grand Jury.
That's according to the Jeff Davis Mountain Dispatch newspaper.
The 44-year-old Timmons, lives in Austin, and filed a $10,000 PR bond in Travis County last Wednesday.
A sealed indictment was one of three handed down by the grand jury, empaneled earlier this month.
According to the paper, the case was investigated by the Jeff Davis County Sheriffs Office.
The alleged theft reportedly happened in April of 2011.
American Energy of Pecos reported the theft of a missing three-phase generator and trailer.
Two other indictments remained unsealed and are said to be unrelated to the theft charge.
Timmons coached for Fort Davis, Alpine and Valentine in the 90's.
