Chilly Again Today 2/3/14
Monday Morning Weather Update
Greg Morgan – Chief Meteorologist
A foggy and cold morning is expected across the Permian Basin. However, winds will continue to shift around to the southeast and increase through the day. It is likely that highs will reach the mid 40’s before the afternoon is over. Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy through the day. An upper level disturbance will move into the region tonight. A slight chance of snow is expected over the northern Permian Basin around sunrise on Tuesday morning.
Temperatures will climb even further on Tuesday as winds shift to the west and increase to at least 15-25mph if not 20-30mph. It appears that highs will climb to around 60 with the aid of these strong winds.
Another cold front will move into the area on Tuesday night. This will bring much colder air to West Texas. Highs will be in the 20’s and 30’s on Wednesday and Thursday. A slight chance of wintry precipitation will be in place Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
