Midland Releases More Information on Bidding Process for 12 Million Dollar Project 1/30/14

ODESSA-The City of Midland is releasing more details on its Construction Manager at Risk for its new municipal court building.
The $12 million project will be awarded to the contractor which submits a proposal who has the best qualifications.
According to City Spokesperson Sara Higgins, the construction manager at risk model will save the city money by having the contractor work earlier on in the process.
According to the Request for Qualifications process, local companies will not be given a special preference in the selection. These are the criteria for which a construction company will be chosen:
1) Qualifications of Firm
2) Team Experience on Similar Project
3) Responsiveness to the RFQ
4) Professional References
5) Cost Control
6) Financial Capability
The city may establish an evaluation panel which will review the submitted Requests for Qualifications.
