Not As Cold Today 1/29/14
Wednesday Morning Weather Update
Greg Morgan – Chief Meteorologist
After another very cold start to the day, temperatures will finally climb above 40 degrees. Highs will top out around 50 today and skies will be sunny. Winds will be out of the south at 10-15mph.
Strong westerly winds will develop on Thursday and Friday. This will bring high temperatures up into the 70’s and even 80’s across West Texas both days.
Another cold front will move into the region on Saturday. While most locations will still see 60 degrees or better on Saturday, the northern counties might see highs in the 50’s.
Cloudy skies and cooler temperatures are expected late in the weekend. It appears that highs will be in the 40’s on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. A slight chance of rain also appears possible on Sunday and again on Tuesday.
