Wink - Since the overhaul of the cafeteria at Wink-Loving ISD, more students than ever before are eating cafeteria food.
In fact, the cafeteria brought in twice the amount of money this year than the year before.
Whether you're in the mood for Chinese, Mexican or American, the cafeteria has it and you can bet someone is waiting in line for it.
"I like all the options we have now," one student said.
Since the introduction of the new lunch service, more students than ever are eating the school's food.
"If you don't want what they're having, there's tons of other options to choose from," 8th grader Malorie Grey said.
And the school district is reaping the benefits.
"We took in $84,000 compared to $42,000 the previous year," Eddie Bogges, Director of Operations for Wink-Loving ISD said. "The kids are enjoying the meals better."
Not only do the students have more options at lunch, most of the food is now made from scratch, making for healthier eats.
