New Mexico Top 10 Fugitive Arrested In Midland 1/28/14

A 38-year-old man wanted by New Mexico authorities was arrested Monday in Midland.
Sergio Navarette was picked up by the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force.
Last week, Task Force received information from the U.S. Marshals South West Investigative Team in Albuquerque, New Mexico that Navarette was living in the Midland/Odessa area.
Investigators determined that Navarette was working for a construction business under the alias of Carmelo Castillo-Mercado.
Investigators discovered that Navarette had been in the Midland/Odessa area for approximately 5 years.
Navarette was wanted for Failure to Appear-Trafficking a Controlled Substance.
He was on the New Mexico Department of Corrections Most Wanted and had previous convictions for Aggravated Assault and Shooting at a Dwelling.
