Very Cold Today 1/28/14
Tuesday Morning Weather Update
Greg Morgan Ė Chief Meteorologist
Very cold conditions will continue through much of the day. Sub-zero wind chill readings were in place across the area this morning. It appears that the sun will shine later in the day and the winds will calm down a bit. However, temperatures will climb slowly in the afternoon. Highs will only top out in the mid to upper 30ís. Winds chill readings will likely be below freezing through much of the day.
Temperatures will plunge into the mid teens again tonight. However, winds will not be as strong.
Expect highs in the lower 50ís on Wednesday afternoon. Continued sunshine looks likely.
Strong westerly winds will pick up across the region on Thursday. This will help temperatures warm all the way into the 70ís and even 80ís over the region through the end of the week.
The next cold front will arrive on Saturday. While this front wonít pack a major punch of arctic air, it will be enough to cool temperature down, into the 60ís.
A slight chance of rain may return to the forecast early next week. However, my confidence isnít all that high at the moment.
