Tim Duncan continues to dominate against the Atlanta Hawks. He had 17 points and 16 rebounds as the San Antonio Spurs cruised 105-79. Duncan and Tony Parker left the game late in the third quarter with the Spurs up 27. The Hawks lost point guard Jeff Teague to a left ankle sprain in the second period. HOUSTON (AP)
For the first time in 11 games against the Southwest Division, the Memphis Grizzlies finally have a win. They beat the Houston Rockets 88-87 behind 19 points from Courtney Lee and 15 by Zach Randolph. Houston's Chandler Parsons had a career-high 34 points and made 10 3-pointers - all in the second half. It is an NBA record for 3s in a half and a franchise record for 3s in a game. NEW YORK (AP)
The Brooklyn Nets have gotten their fourth straight win, in a nail-biter over the Dallas Mavericks. Mirza Teletovic scored 24 of his 34 points in the second quarter in the Mavericks' 107-106 victory. Former Net Vince Carter had 19 points and Dirk Nowitzki added 18 points for the Mavs, who lost their second straight game. LAS VEGAS (AP)
There won't be a trip east after all for the National Finals Rodeo. The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association and Las Vegas Events announced the rodeo is staying in Vegas rather than move to Florida. The event generates $100 million for the Las Vegas economy in December - the city's tourism slow season.
