I-20 Crash In Martin County Still Under Investigation 1/21/14

According to Elena Viramontes of DPS, all vehicles involved in last night's wreck were stopped in the right-hand lane of I-20 eastbound due to detours caused by the repair of a bridge overpass.
The incident occurred when a pipe trailer ran into a white pick-up truck, killing 44-year-old Gilberto Ruiz-Flores of Big Spring.
According to Medical Center Hospital, a total of 11 people were treated and discharged, however one person remains hospitalized in stable condition.
A DPS investigation, as well as charges, are pending.

Department of Public Safety troopers are still investigating a fatal crash in Martin County from last night. The Martin County Sheriffs Department told CBS 7 the crash happened around 7:30 pm. Midland Memorial Hospital officials say a total of 11 people in the crash were admitted. Ten were discharged today and the remaining person is in stable condition. Many on our Facebook said detours in the area are confusing. TXDOT is tearing down a bridge several miles east of the accident. CBS 7 is trying to find out if the crash was related to the construction.
