Big Spring City Council To Consider Repealing Living Distance Ordinance For City Staff 1/14/14
January 14th, 2014
Big Spring, Tx
Big Spring City Council is considering repealing an ordinance requiring city staff to work with in thirty minutes of the city. Mayor Larry McLellan tells CBS 7 the city is having difficulty finding enough employees within that range. He would like to see top employees such as the police chief and fire chief still live in town. Council will hold the first reading to repeal the ordinance tonight. The repeal must pass two readings.
