Andrews – Now that Andrews County knows they’ll be receiving grant money to repair county roads, commissioners have been meeting to discuss what roads need the most repairs.
Andrews County learned that they would receive just over $8.7 million from the Transportation Improvement Fund.
During a recent workshop, commissioners began to discuss roads that need the most repairs. One road discussed extensively by commissioners was Shafter Lake Road.
Commissioners were instructed to make a list of the damaged roads in their counties to discuss at a later meeting.
The Transportation Improvement Fund grant program provides $225 million in funds to be disbursed to counties based on need to which energy production impacts road conditions.
