Warmer Today But Still Chilly 1/7/14
Tuesday Weather Update
Greg Morgan – Chief Meteorologist
Another cold start to the day is upon us in West Texas. However, temperatures today will warm much more than yesterday! Look for highs in the mid to upper 40’s in the Permian Basin. Lower to mid 50’s will be common across the Trans Pecos and Stockton Plateau. Winds will be out of the south at 5-15mph. That said, wind chills will be quite noticeable through at least the first half of the day.
A warming trend will continue through the remainder of the week, with the exception of a weak cold front on Thursday that will shave a few degrees off of the high temperature. Look for highs in the 50’s and 60’s through the next seven days. A slight chance of rain will exist late Thursday into Friday.
