Very Cold Today And Tonight 1/6/14
Monday Weather Update
Greg Morgan – Chief Meteorologist
A very cold start to the morning will transition to little warming in the afternoon. Lows this morning were the coldest of the season, with many locations seeing wind chill values from –5 to 5. Highs this afternoon will only reach the lower to mid 30’s for most and winds will keep wind chill readings well below freezing.
Temperatures tonight will drop into the teens once again. Combined with wind, these lows will create wind chill readings similar to values seen this morning. However, temperatures tomorrow, will warm into the 40’s under sunny skies.
A slow warming trend is expected through the rest of the week. Highs will reach the 50’s on Wednesday and Thursday and even the 60’s on Friday. A slight chance of rain appears possible late Thursday into Friday.
