2014 Looks to be Big Year for Community of Andrews 1/3/14

Andrews – 2014 is shaping up to be a big year for the city of Andrews.
Community leaders are looking ahead at several projects coming up this year.
The city will have a new $1.85 million splash park by the end of the year. It will be constructed near the present swimming pool area off E. Broadway and NE Mustang Dr. The park should be completed in early summer.
Andrews ISD will begin a $6 million school expansion project this year. The rush of new students to the district created a need for more classroom space. The project will add on to several of the schools.
The hospital district continues to construct a brand new $59.2 million hospital and recruit new doctors.
The county is looking to receive $10 million in state grants and funds for repairs and reconstruction of county roads.
