BEIJING (AP) - Health officials in China say vaccines did not cause nine children to die shortly after they were inoculated.
The director of disease control at the national health agency says 17 children were reported dead after recently receiving shots for hepatitis B.
He tells the official Xinhua News Agency that nine cases were unrelated to the vaccines and a preliminary investigation finds no link in the remaining cases.
