Wink - The future for students in Wink is looking bright. On December 16th, Wink school board members took one step closer to becoming an “Early College High School,” by voting to move forward with the application process.
Early college high school programs give students the opportunity to earn up to 60 hours of college credit while working on a high school diploma at the same time. College courses are free to students who participate.
At the school board meeting UTPB representatives presented their proposal to allow students to learn through online classes.
Under this program, every student graduating from high school could graduate with sixty hours of college credit.
