Suspect in Real Estate Agent's Slaying in Custody 1/1/14
FORT WORTH, Texas - The suspect in the stabbing death of a North Texas real estate agent is in police custody following a standoff.
Fort Worth police Cpl. Tracey Knight says the man who had barricaded himself in a Fort Worth home shot multiple times at SWAT officers on Tuesday but officers did not return fire. No officers were injured.
She says the man has been taken to a local hospital with at least one self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Police responded to the home after getting a call from the homeowner that he was there.
The Tarrant County medical examiner says Suzanne Parsons, the 49-year-old woman found dead Monday afternoon at her Fort Worth office, died from multiple stab and cut wounds to the neck and chest.
