Presidio County Deputies Rescue Injured Hiker in San Jacinto Mountains 12/28/13

Presidio - A hiker in Presidio County is lucky to be alive today.
Presidio County sheriff's deputies along with US Border Patrol, City of Presidio EMS, Volunteer Fire Dept. and Raul Martinez, a Big Bend Ranch State Park employee, completed an overnight rescue mission this afternoon.
Sheriff's officials say four people were hiking in the San Jacinto Mountains between Marfa and Presidio when one of the hikers fell down a mountain.
A crew stayed with man overnight until Border Patrol could get to him safely with a helicopter.
He was taken to the Alpine hospital with a broken leg, head and back injuries.
The other three hikers made it down the mountain safely.
