NBA Slate has Two Games Pairing Winning Teams 12/25/13
UNDATED - The Christmas Day NBA schedule features just two games pairing teams with winning records.
The Los Angeles Clippers take a five-game winning streak into their game against Golden State in a meeting of two of the top three teams in the Pacific Division. The Clippers at 20-9 enjoy a four-game edge over the Warriors. David Lee is on a tear for Golden State with nine straight double-doubles.
San Antonio hosts Houston in a battle of the top two teams in the Southwest Division. The 22-6 Spurs hold a 4 1/2 game lead over the Rockets. Houston is hoping to have leading scorer James Harden back after he's missed the last two games with a sprained left ankle.
Miami also has won five in a row heading into Los Angeles for a date with the Lakers. The Heat are one of only two teams with a winning record in the Eastern Conference, topping the Southeast Division with a 21-6 mark. The Lakers need two wins to reach .500 coming into the game. The anticipated match-up of LeBron James and the Lakers Kobe Bryant won't happen because Bryant is sidelined with a fracture near his knee.
