No new information has been released in the death of this woman.
Investigators tell us that a time of death nor cause of death have been determined. That information will not be clear until the pathologist in Tarrant County has concluded the toxicology report.
A shocking discovery in an Odessa neighborhood: a woman's body was found in an alley over the weekend.
The woman found on the 1200 block of 36th Street has been identified as 33-year-old Elizabeth Carrasco and her autopsy is complete but the investigation continues.
Investigators say she was found fully clothed, lying flat on hear back in the alley. She had no identification other than a cell phone.
Her body was sent to Tarrant County for autopsy where she was identified by fingerprints. The autopsy determined that there was no foul play or trauma involved in her death however, a toxicology report will be done.
No missing persons report was filed for Carrasco.
The cell phone found on her body did not have her name in it. Investigators obtained a search warrant for the phone. Someone did call that phone however; investigators could not release the caller's identity.
The toxicology report could take several weeks. Although there were no signs of a struggle at the scene, investigators tell CBS7 they will continue to treat her death as a homicide to ensure a thorough investigation.
