A shocking discovery in Odessa: a woman's body is found in the alley of a quiet neighborhood.
Investigators were on the scene all day trying to determine how this woman died.
Right now they are not saying if they suspect foul play but they did use advanced technology to scour the scene.
Neighbors watched in disbelief in the 1200 block of 36th Street as Odessa Police and the Texas Rangers investigated a body found in the alley of the neighborhood.
“It surprises me because it's right across the street from my house," says one neighbor.
Texas Rangers used 3D imaging technology to look for any clues that may provide an answer for how she died.
According to ODP, she was fully clothed and lying flat on her back.
The woman's identity has not been released and they have not shared any details about the cause of death.
Her body will be sent for autopsy in Tarrant County tomorrow.
Police expanded their investigation, spending a lot of time at this house although they are not saying if the woman lived there.
Meanwhile, people who live here are shocked by the situation and frightened by the possibility that someone could have harmed her.
"It’s quite. Everybody waves at each other," says a neighbor.
Tonight, many question remain unanswered and the investigation continues.
