Two Pedestrians Struck Due To Jaywalking 12/20/13

ODESSA-Jaywalking continues to be a problem in the Basin.
This past week there were two separate vehicle-pedestrian crashes in Odessa.
According to Odessa Police, on Tuesday night a 15-year-old Hispanic female was attempting to cross 10th Street, when she failed to yield the right of away, and was struck by a Suburban.
Then on Wednesday night, Urias Natividad, 59, was attempting to cross 8th Street, when a Gray Ford F-150 struck him.
Both pedestrians were sent to Medical Center Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and were cited for Failure to Yield Right of Way Not at a Crosswalk.
Police Officials want to warn all pedestrians to always use a designated crosswalk.
