UNDATED - The Detroit Pistons have become the first team to beat the Pacers in Indianapolis this season.
The Pacers had been 11-0 at home and a league-leading 20-3 overall until Josh Smith poured in 30 points to lead the Pistons to a 101-96 triumph over Indiana. Greg Monroe added 13 points and 12 rebounds for the Pistons, who blew most of a 10-point lead in the final six minutes before closing on a 5-2 spurt.
Lance Stephenson's season-high 23 points led the Pacers.
