Division leaders look to improve positions 12/18/13

UNDATED - Defending league champion Chicago can pad its overall points lead in the NHL this evening with a road win in Nashville. The Blackhawks top the Central Division and the Western Conference with 53 points. The Predators won the only meeting of the teams this season.
Right behind Chicago is Anaheim, the Pacific Division leader. The Ducks have 51 points and tonight are in Detroit to face the Red Wings.
Boston is the leader in the Atlantic Division and this evening the Bruins are on home-ice for a game with the Calgary Flames. Boston is 9-0-1 in its last 10 home games. Montreal is chasing Boston with 43 points, three less than the Bruins, and tonight the Canadiens are home to Phoenix.
The rest of tonight's NHL schedule has Winnipeg playing at Buffalo, Toronto at home to Florida, the Lighting playing the Islanders in Nassau Coliseum, Washington at Philly, the Blues at home to the Sharks, Vancouver at Minnesota, the Stars entertaining Colorado and Edmonton in Los Angeles.
