ODESSA-Health Officials at Medical Center Hospital want to remind people the importance of knowing the warnings signs of a stroke.
Karry Morris, a Cardiovascular Nurse at MCH, says from July through September of this year, 100 patients were admitted for having a stroke.
But, only 2 out of the 100 patients came in on time to get the proper treatment, the rest waited too long.
"If you come in within the hours of having a stroke, there's a much greater chance we can do something to help you, and possibly even reverse the stroke," said Morris.
Morris says anyone of the following signs could mean you're having a stroke: if you have an uneven smile, one arm is weaker than the other, slurred speech, and if you experience any dizziness, or loss of balance.
