PRESIDIO-According to the Presidio County Judge's Office, the Commissioners Court will discuss a resolution regarding the FAA's opening up of airspace to drones.
The unmanned aircraft are set to fly over airspace in the area as part of a government project based at Texas A&M University.
The topic met opposition at an Alpine City Council meeting recently, where the city voted against allowing their airport to be a launch site for the aircraft.
Presidio says its resolution will ask the FAA for more information on how they will develop testing sites and air space and what the use of their airspace will mean for the city in the future. The meeting will take place at 5:00 p.m. tomorrow at the Presidio County Courthouse.
