An Odessa man who sexually assaulted his 11-year-old relative will be sentenced tomorrow in Federal Court.
Federal prosecutors took 3 years to extradite this sexual predator, Francisco Gonzalez-Nunez, from Mexico to the United States.
Gonzalez-Nunez pled guilty in August. to bringing a child to and from Mexico with the intent of engaging in sexual activity.
He began molesting his female relative when she was 11 years old and they were living in Odessa with his wife.
The victim was 16 years old when he forced her to have sex with him as many as three times a day.
They moved to Mexico in August of 2010. That's when Gonzalez-Nunez tried to have sex with the victim one last time. She refused and finally told the wife about the years of sexual abuse.
The wife and the victim both returned to the U.S. and Gonzalez-Nunez stayed in Mexico until June 2013 when he was extradited to the U.S.
The Odessan said in his plea that each time he transported the girl to and from Mexico he intended to have sex with her. He faces a minimum of ten years and up to life in prison.
