Another Cold Front Today 12/11/13
Wednesday Weather Update
Greg Morgan Ė Chief Meteorologist
While temperatures will climb above freezing today, it appears that a cold front moving through the area will keep it from feeling that way. Expect a high in the lower to mid 40ís today, under partly cloudy skies. Strong northeasterly winds will move through the region and produce wind chill readings in the 20ís and 30ís through much of the day.
Overnight, temperatures will plunge. How cold it actually gets will largely depend on the clouds. Extra clouds associated with a cutoff low over Baja, Mexico will keep a few places warmer than others. The overall trend appears to be upper teens to lower 20ís for your Thursday morning.
It appears that a slight chance of rain could crop up Thursday evening into Friday morning. While itís not a great chanceÖ At least a 20% chance seems warranted.
Warmer conditions (mid to upper 60ís) will move into the area on Friday afternoon as the winds shift to the west with a cold front approaching. A pacific cold front will then move through the area on Saturday, bringing highs back down into the lower 50ís on Saturday afternoon.
