Few Water Line Break In Permian Basin
December 10th, 2013
Many expected to see multiple scenes around the city with workers scrambling to fix lines. So far the Basin hasn't seen many water line breaks.
One resident CBS 7 talked to was without running water this morning.
"We couldnít take a shower, wash dishes, flush the toilet, give the dogs water," said Ranie Oneal, an Odessa resident.
Despite freezing temperatures, scores of water lines didnít burst like in years past.
D and D Plumbing loaded up on supplies this weekend expecting to see more calls.
"We saw an up tick," said Derek Rotan, a service manager.
They opened on Sunday but didnít see call volumes like previous years.
"In 2011 we had hundreds of calls. It just wasn't like that this time, it wasn't quite cold enough," he said.
