Morning Fog And Cold Temperatures 12/9/13
Monday Weather Update
Greg Morgan – Chief Meteorologist
Cold and foggy conditions are expected to continue through the morning. Temperatures through noon will be in the 20’s to lower 30’s across a large part of the region. As the low clouds break a bit, it appears that highs will climb above the freezing mark for a brief period of time. Look for afternoon temperatures to reach the mid 30’s in the Permian Basin, 40’s in the Stockton Plateau and 50’s to 60’s in the mountains.
Clearing skies tonight will favor fantastic radiational cooling. This will bring temperatures down into the mid teens later tonight. Expect wind chill reading in the single digits for tomorrow morning. Highs will rebound in the 40’s tomorrow afternoon.
Look for highs in the 40’s on Wednesday and Thursday. However, moisture will surge back into the area on Thursday, producing a slight chance of rain showers Thursday afternoon. Temperatures will climb back into the 50’s this weekend.
