MIDLAND-Despite the harsh and freezing temperatures over the weekend, Church Under The Bridge Midland held their weekly service for the homeless just as they promised.
Evan Rogers, the founder of the church, says they've been able to reach more homeless people in the community.
Rogers says one pregnant woman and her boyfriend, who he came across, are both working, but have been having a hard time finding an affordable place to live.
Rogers says she's been staying at the Salvation Army, while he's been sleeping in a tent.
“The place here is ok, but I kind of don't feel comfortable there anymore for some reason. I don't know why, but otherwise it's a place to stay at least," said Jovan Begay, the homeless woman who’s pregnant.
Rogers says they've been receiving a lot of donations and help from the community, and are very grateful, but now are in need of a storage facility for it all.
He asks that anyone who can help out with a place for this couple to stay, or a storage area, to contact him through their Facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/churchunderthebridgemidland?fref=ts.
