CBS 7 News
November 24, 2013
TxDOT crews spent the day Sunday clearing and treating roads and bridges throughout the Odessa district. Although most roads are open, areas of patchy and black ice are still possible. Low overnight temperatures could cause any moisture to refreeze, and the possibility of precipitation remains in the forecast. TxDOT will continue to monitor conditions and respond as needed.
Closures include Loop 250 and Hwy191 from Loop 250 to FM1788 in Midland County. MISD has canceled school Monday. City of Midland will run skeleton crew. City of Odessa has delayed opening at 10 am.
Travel tonight is strongly discouraged.
Since Friday, OPD has responded to approximately 63 crashes. Please avoid driving if at all possible.
The wreck at IH20 RM122 near midland is cleared. Road open.

I20 open again at mm 100 west of Odessa.
I20 is closed at mile marker 100 west of Odessa.
Loop 250 was closed last night at request of city of Midland. All other roads are technically open. MPD is blocking overpasses on 191 from traffic but TxDOT has not closed it or service roads. That doesn't mean driving in this is a good idea. Crews are working but it is impossible to clear all the ice. Please don't take unnecessary chances. We have had crashes all across the district. Travel is highly discouraged
