UTPB Grows 28.5 Percent in One Year; More Than Any Other College 11/2/13
Enrollment at University of Texas Permian Basin grew faster than any other public, independent, community or technical college or University in Texas from Fall of 2012 to Fall of 2013 according to enrollment data released by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.
UTPB’s enrollment grew 28.5 percent from Fall 2012 to Fall 2013 and topped more than 5,000 students for the first time in the university’s 40-year history.
University officials say they have worked hard to reach out and find different ways to provide students access to higher education.
In the last four years, UTPB established Bachelor’s Degree programs in petroleum engineering and nursing, increased the number of accelerated online degree programs offered, and expanded on-campus student housing.
