Halloween Restrictions for Sex Offenders 10/31/13
CBS 7 News
Sex offenders have to follow a set of state rules tonight to prevent participation in Halloween festivities.
According to a spokesman for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, restrictions are also in place for parolees.
Those on supervision with restrictions must keep their porch lights off and have no decorations on their homes from Halloween evening until the next morning.
Some counties, like Ector County, extended those restrictions to the whole week of Halloween.
All sex offenders must register with the Texas Department of Public Safety.
A map of their homes are available on their website: records.txdps.state.tx.us/sexoffender
