Pecos – Pecos-Barstow-Toyah ISD is working to improve state test scores district wide.
Crockett Middle School is the only campus that was cited as underperforming following the release of the first STAAR test results. The school did not pass the last of the three new measured indexes.
The district has since put an improvement plan in place. PBTISD officials tell CBS 7 they are working closely with Region 18 to bring up those test scores.
Representatives are coming in from Region 18 and working with teachers. They’ve brought in several speakers to get a good grasp of what they’re working with.
District officials feel confident the scores will be better this next year.
