Five Games On the Way 10/28/13
UNDATED - There's a good match-up on the ice with Pittsburgh at Carolina. The Penguins are 7-4 while the Hurricanes enter play with a 4-4-and-3 mark. This is the second of four season meetings between the new Metropolitan Division foes. In the first, former Hurricanes forward Jussi Jokinen (YOO'-see YOH'-kih-nehn) scored a hat trick as the Penguins prevailed 5-2 in Pittsburgh.
Pittsburgh has averaged 38 shots-per-game over the past three contests, but the Penguins have only four total goals and an 0-3-0 record to show for it. Carolina is back home after a four-game road swing in which it went 2-2-0, losing the final two games.
Another contest has Dallas at Buffalo as Stars coach Lindy Ruff returns to Buffalo to face his former team for the first time since being fired by the Sabres in February. Ruff was in his 15th season with the Sabres when he was let go, making him the longest-tenured coach in the NHL at the time
The other games tonight have Montreal at the New York Rangers, Minnesota home to Chicago and Washington at Vancouver.
