Houston Widow Pleads Guilty to Husband's `85 Death 10/24/13
HOUSTON - A 71-year-old woman who had long been considered a suspect in
her husband's 1985 shooting death in their Houston-area home but wasn't charged
until more than two decades later has pleaded guilty to murder in the case.
Carolyn Krizan-Wilson entered her guilty plea Wednesday in Houston as part
of an agreement with prosecutors in which she was sentenced to six months in
jail and 10 years of probation.
The family of Krizan-Wilson's husband, Roy McCaleb, said while they are not
happy with the short sentence, they do feel some gratification that
Krizan-Wilson has finally acknowledged her crime.
