Protester Brings in Swarm of Police and an Ambulance at VA Medical Clinic 10/23/13

Charlie Hubble was arrested today outside of the Odessa Veteranís Medical Clinic. Four Odessa Police officers responded to a call in the Tanglewood Professional Center. The conversation started peacefully, but turned into a struggle as Hubble resisted being put in handcuffs.
Hubble was yelling that he needed help and also needed a doctor. He says he was protesting because he never received the knee surgery he was promised by the VA Medical Center. Hubble was transported to the hospital, and then to the Ector County Jail.
Beverly Rain, a veteran visiting the clinic, says she was the one who called police. She says she asked him what was wrong, and he began harassing her.
Ivajo Hanslik, the Public Affairs Officer with the VA Medical Clinic, confirms that the man protesting is a veteran and is entitled to health care. Hanslik did not confirm nor deny his claims that he didnít receive the knee surgery he was promised.
Odessa Police told CBS 7 that the protester had an outstanding warrant for criminal mischief in Midland County. They say he has been arrested for resisting arrest.
