The Tornados were followed by Texas-Tyler, Hardin-Simmons, East Texas Baptist, Mississippi College, Louisiana College and LeTourneau.
“We’ve seen the rankings and they are about what we expected after last year,” said SRSU Head Men’s Basketball Coach Greg Wright. “However, we will use them for what they are worth-motivation to keep working hard and getting better.”
Wright is encouraged by the first few days of practice. “Our first few days of practice tipped off without a glitch,” said Wright. “It was very exciting, and we’re glad to be playing basketball now. We look forward to the next couple of weeks, and to achieving our pre-season goal of getting better every day we step on the floor.”
The Lobos will play an exhibition game at Texas State on Monday, November 4th. They will open their season at Wayland Baptist and McMurry November 15th and 16th and open at home against Howard Payne in the second half of an ASC doubleheader Tuesday, November 19th.
